The Virtual Work Experience is back this year following an incredibly inspiring programme in 2020.
First run in 2020, in the peak of the pandemic, The Work Experience week has been designed to give university Students tangible insights into the world Design Engineering, Construction, Technology and Entrepreneurship. The Big Work Experience Week is a week of immersive sessions from all over the world, giving varied learning and encouraging diversity of thought.
In the Summer of 2020, a number of University students expressed huge disappointment at missing out on work experience due to the pandemic. A period of significant adjustments for engineering companies meant either cancellations or reduced site/ office engagements.
Powered by a determination to contribute with a solution, Yewande Akinola joined by Hema Vallabh, Nike Folayan and Simran Dhadda designed a week of immerse exposure to design, technology and entrepreneurship for the built environment.
Approached by Yewande, over 20 global and world leading professionals from their base in the UK, the US, China, Canada, Tanzania, Kenya, South Africa agreed to give in-depth sessions on their respective disciplines and areas of expertise.

INNOVATING FOR A SUSTAINABLE WORLD

The programme for 2021 has been designed to prepare students and recent graduates for an exciting career in innovating for a sustainable world. It will deliver tangible learning that will equip students with useful knowledge to become innovators and will cover sustainable architectural and engineering design including the transition to net-zero, sustainable water supply and product design.
In the format of LIVE talks and exceptional content, this year will feature the brilliant contributions and support of exceptional Engineers, Architects, Technologists, Innovators from world leading organisations. Confirmed Speakers include:

PROGRAMME
Typical Days consist of live talks between 11AM and 2PM GMT and Group/Individual work times from 2.30PM GMT.
